Ragi Poori

Ragi Poori – Ragi is a superfood that we need to include in our meals regularly. It’s 10 times richer in calcium than wheat or rice. So it makes it very important for kids, growing babies, pregnant mothers to eat the grain regularly.

Here is our innovative dish yet traditional Ragi Poori – super yummy and super healthy!

Ingredients For Ragi Poori

-Carom Seeds – 1 tsp

-Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp

-Boiled & peeled potato – 1 big

-Salt – 1/2 tsp

-Oil (for frying)

-Water – as needed

-Ragi Flour – 100 g

-Wheat Flour – 100 g


Method Of Preparation

In a kadhai, roast carom seeds & cumin seeds for 2 minutes

Remove and grind finely using a mortar & pestle

In a bowl, take a boiled & peeled potato. Mash it thoroughly

Add salt, oil & water. Mix with a whisk.

We need a slightly watery consistency

To this mixture, sieve & add ragi flour, wheat flour

Add the roasted cumin & carom powder. Add oil.

Knead to form a dough

Take a little dough & roll it out to make pooris

Heat oil in a kadhai. Fry these pooris quicky on both the sides

Remove & strain the excess oil out.
