Ragi Dosa

Ragi Dosa

Easy Instant Ragi Dosa that you can make at home for your kids & family. Serve with a fresh homemade chutney, NOT tomato ketchup or Jams:-P.

A note on chutney’s too: Chutney was not just yummy, but it was a smart way to add good fats with the diet to our body. So eat the dosa with a good homemade coconut, groundnut, tomato chutney etc. that has a good tadka with all the spices (jeera, mustard, curry leaves) etc.

Recipe for Ragi Dosa:

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup Ragi flour or Naachni Flour
  • 2 tbsp whole wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp Curd
  • A pinch of Cumin Seeds
  • Water as required
  • Ghee – for making dosa

Method:

In a vessel, add ragi flour, wheat flour, curd, cumin seeds. Add water little by little and mix well so that no lumps are formed. The batter should be like regular dosa batter consistency neither too thick nor runny. Set aside for 20 minutes.

Heat a dosa tawa, add a laddle of batter to it and spread it to form a circle. Don’t spread too much. Sprinkle ghee. Cook it until brown on one side for five minutes and flip the dosa. Cook for 2 more minutes and remove from tawa. Repeat the same process for remaining batter.

Serve hot with your favorite coconut or groundnut chutney.
