Finger food recipe for toddlers and kids – Urad Dal wada or Pakodas.
Kids love fried foods, because they need a lot of fat for their brain and nerves to develop well. So instead of the store bought French fries, try to give homemade wada, freshly cooked in good cold pressed oils or ghee.
It really satisfies their craving and also meets their body’s growing needs.
Ingredients:
-Urad dal- 1 cup
-Ginger – an inch
-Pepper Corns – few
-Jeera/Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
-Little green chilli – 1
-Salt for taste
Recipe:
-1 cup urad dal. Wash and soak for 3 hours
-In a blender,add the soaked dal, an inch of ginger, a few peppers, jeera and a little green chilli and salt for taste. Blend to get a fine paste.
-Pour in hot cold pressed oil. Fry for 3 mins and enjoy these hot yummy urad dal wada or Pakodas with your kids
