Foxtail Millet Kheer for the family to enjoy a healthy & yummy dessert together
We all know kids can crave for donuts, cakes, chocolates, other processed sweets etc. every now and then. But if we just give up to these cravings, they will only keep getting bigger!

Instead, provide them alternative healthy traditional sweets that you can make easily at home. A kheer made from foxtail millets is one such substitute that can be offered to kids, guilt-free. They will definitely understand that yes, homecooked desserts can be yummy, fun and genuinely help them become stronger, over time.

Ingredients:
– 1 cup Foxtail Millet
– 250 ml Milk
– 2 tbps Ghee
– ½ cup jaggery Powder
– Dry fruits – few cashews, raisins for garnishing/ 1 tbps of Early Foods Dry Fruits & Seeds Powder

Method of Preparation:

– Wash & Soak Foxtail Millet for 4 hours
– Use the same soaked water to cook it soft for 15 mins
– Add milk that has been thickened, by being boiled on a low flame for 20 mins
– In a separate pan, add 2 tbps ghee and dry fruits
– Add them to the kheer for an extra crunch. Mix well
– Switch off the flame and then add 1/2 cup of jaggery (or as per taste)
– Mix well and serve warm

Imp notes: Avoid condensed milk or milk powder for kids . Always use Organic A2 Milk or just fresh cow’s milk.

Age: 8 months and above (with little jaggery as required)
